I'm considering playing Last Light because the visuals and mood seem interesting, but I'm curious about its overall intensity. I tried the demo of Amnesia Dark Descent, but it really scared me despite the bright daylight. I turned down the in-game audio and played music, but it didn't help. Comparing it to other horror titles like Amnesia, Outlast, and Daylight, how intense is the experience? I’d only buy it if it stays mostly light in scares. Honestly, this makes me uncomfortable and stops me from enjoying good games.
It has some eerie vibes but feels more unsettling than outright frightening. The strange ghosts and monsters are interesting, yet there are no jump scares or unsettling noises. The game is solid, with a great atmosphere that rivals STALKER—my top FPS choice. For the best experience, try the harder setting (Ranger) and check out Metro 2033 first, since their stories connect well.
You’re protected if you’re okay with scary monsters coming your way.
Last Light had a more subdued approach to action and gunfights compared to Metro 2033. If you enjoyed Metro 2033, it should feel natural to play Last Light. I struggle with horror, but this version seemed better suited for a cinematic and thrilling experience rather than intense jump scares.
