Hi,
The Office 2021 is already installed on your current laptop, which came with the software. Since it’s linked to your Microsoft account, activating it is straightforward—just open the Office app and log in with your credentials. When you replace the laptop with a new one, installing Office on the new device and logging in will activate it as well. So yes, it should be transferable.
Thank you

Oh sure! Thanks again for your reply!
It seems a bit off, but if it’s possible then it works well.
I had another question:
Until now I had Windows 11 Home, then I switched to Windows 11 Pro using a generic key, which was amazing. Later, when I lost activation on my old PC, I just used a generic Windows 10 key and it worked perfectly. Could you explain in detail how generic keys function?
And why don’t they ruin the value of buying a proper key for such a high price?
Thanks a lot for your assistance!
I’m new to these forums, sorry for any trouble 😊

Usually, a Win 10/11 license is tied to your account, not just the key you provided. However, a generic key might lose its activation after some time.

Sure, I can clarify. The phrase "linked to you" typically refers to information or content that is connected to your profile, account, or personal data. It may involve links, references, or shared details associated with your identity online.

Do you possess a Microsoft account? If yes, are these platforms included in the listing? And what does the Settings-System-Activation section indicate?

The device is activated using a digital license through a Microsoft account. Also, inquiries about system listings can be addressed accordingly.

It is connected to your MS account.
The "general" information is not important.
Sign in with your MS account.

Type the command slmgr /dlv in the command prompt. A small window will appear, showing a screenshot of that window.

Concerning MSOffice, signing in to your MS Account on a new PC activates the Office license there, but you cannot later use it on your previous PC. The license is tied to one PC at a time.
