Inquiries regarding upgrading to Windows 10?
Are you required to secure anything? Is the value for gaming worth it with many titles already optimized for Windows 10? Is it still in development? Could it lead to instability in specific hardware parts? Your system details: Intel Pentium G3220, AMD Radeon R7 250X, 1GB DDR5, Crucial 1x4 GB DDR3, 1600MHz, Gigabyte G-H81M-H.
Its not beta, its 100% "released". May find a few bugs here and there, but they will get worked out. Basically, there is no reason not to upgrade, and many reason to upgrade... Games will not be affected until DX12 is out, then they will just do better (by "out" I mean once games are actually written in DX12)

You can choose between keeping your files with your apps or performing a fresh install, leaving everything except drivers in C:/Windows.old. The system includes DirectX 12, which isn't yet supported, so... No. It's the complete retail edition. Based on your hardware, I don’t think it’s necessary.
I also experienced that unusual single monitor setup at an odd resolution until the NVIDIA graphics driver was updated for Windows 10. I saved all my data from the primary drive before updating just to avoid any external interference during the upgrade. The process completed smoothly and I didn’t lose any files.
