I should have mentioned the 5th M.2 slot wouldn't allow the internal 10GbE adapter, the USB4 adapter, and that they were installed together. You're right about having a 10GbE and M.2 slot at once. I want to remind you that SATA SSDs are available too, and you can fit four in your system. They remain sufficiently fast for most tasks. Also, swapping those SSDs and moving all data is significantly cheaper than purchasing a $650 motherboard. Yes, you can also get the same M.2 adapter for the B650E-E Strix, though the slot you'd use is already occupied by your 3090 Ti. I understand you've mentioned this before. That's why the Thunderbolt adapter is useful—you can link a 10GbE Thunderbolt adapter to use concurrently.
Prices for 4tb m.2 drives are around 300 dollars each. The X670E Crosshair costs about 600 dollars. The 5.0x4 PCIe x16 slots on the Crosshair are positioned further apart compared to the B650E-E model. I believe a card with an M.2 drive and a 10Gb LAN could work. On the other hand, can I use the PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for the M.2 card on the B650E-E? Also, is it possible to connect a 10Gb LAN to the USB 3 Gen 3 2x2 Type C port on the computer?
More recently the price was around $200. You can purchase a single unit that matches one of these specifications, though I don’t think any real combination exists. In theory yes, but from what I understand none of them actually work together. You’ll find 5GbE adapters that fit USB 3 ports, and it seems logical to stack two for 10GbE, even though I’m not confident about the details since networking isn’t my strong area.
Napkin produces a single item. No comments possible. Unfamiliar with it and it looks quite specialized. https://www.amazon.com/QNAP-QM2-2P410G1T...B09VK4XDRS
