You’re switching to Windows 10 on multiple devices, but you’re concerned about losing your data. Make sure your files are backed up before upgrading, as transferring everything at once can be risky. Upgrading without a backup might result in data loss if not handled properly.

Sure, you won’t lose your data—though Microsoft might face some criticism. You’ll need to reinstall apps such as games.

Yes, a fresh installation is available. You can choose to reinstall it on your SSD.

You'll need to reinstall them. It seems only text files are retained, so you can decide the installation location as you wish.

I’m considering installing the operating system directly onto the SSD while keeping all your data on the original HDD. That way, you’ll have the OS ready to use and everything else stored safely.

Great to know you have unlimited data with your ISP.

I’m thinking about buying an SSD during the holiday deals, but Windows 10 is launching this month.

I wasn't aware it was almost here. I plan to save what I need right now for later.
