Inquiries regarding drivers for Windows
I’m just starting out with hardware swaps on the same Windows setup and have some concerns about the process. I’m replacing all these components at once—moving from Intel to AMD, swapping the GPU, and changing the motherboard. I’m wondering if the drivers will automatically remove the old Intel chipset support via updates and if AMD’s drivers will install in its place without issues? Also, will Nvidia’s GPU drivers work smoothly after the swap? I’d like to maintain the same Windows installation and minimize any complications while staying informed about what to expect. Of course, I’ll update the BIOS before starting Windows.
I usually suggest starting with a clean setup of Windows whenever you switch systems... Updates won’t remove files, but they’ll try to install the right drivers after you power on.
