I explored the eBay offer for a Windows 10 Enterprise retail license. The seller claims no expiration date, which raises questions about its validity. I assumed such a license would need a monthly fee, wondering if it applies only to certain services. If someone installs it without a subscription, would they miss updates? The requirement to use the provided ISO also intrigues me—could that be an error in translation? The listing mentions OEM and retail licenses, similar to other Windows versions.

I wouldn't rely on a custom ISO. Definitely not.

I reached out to the seller who replied that these licenses are compatible with Windows Update, implying no monthly fee required. They also mentioned uncertainty about using an ISO from Microsoft versus a local download. The seller is Italian and has limited English proficiency, but it seems they’re offering an Enterprise ISO despite the licensing details.

I reached out to Microsoft support with several inquiries about Enterprise. They explained that Enterprise licenses are available both through OEM and retail channels, similar to other editions. The ISO can be obtained via the Volume Service Licensing Centre at the provided link, or by contacting support for assistance with a download. Microsoft’s team confirmed the legitimacy and unused status of any Enterprise license. They also clarified that there is no cost for standard Windows features within Enterprise, though subscription fees apply only to additional cloud services. The support representative mentioned this detail, but I wasn’t certain it was accurate.

I operate within the sector - we serve as a Microsoft partner, CSP, and SPLA Solutions Partner. Enterprise solutions aren't available as retail SKUs; they're restricted to specific VLSC and CSP channels. I'm not convinced you can obtain it through OEM channels.

I purchased this license, but I won’t be installing it on any computers soon. Are the licenses offered in that listing exclusive to each buyer? The listing claims each license can run on up to 20 PCs. Microsoft support confirmed the Enterprise version I bought is genuine, though they mentioned they couldn’t confirm if it was linked to accounts other than yours.

They'll be from VLSC MAK. If you require the ISO details, I might be able to find them. Just specify the version you're interested in.

Did this discussion get removed from Hardforum? I received my Enterprise key and am downloading the Enterprise build 1607 x64 from Mega. It looks like I can't find it on Microsoft’s site without a MSDN subscription, even though I registered my email. Probably the era of signing up for Hotmail and getting Office 2013 for $10 is behind us, lol... So, are you sure the Enterprise key I bought from that Italian/Spanish seller will fit the Enterprise X64 build 1607 (January 2017)?
