My PC specifications are as follows: Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB RAM dual channel, RTX 2060 6GB, monitor 1440x900.
I’m experiencing an issue that bothers me a lot. A few months ago I set up my PC for gaming and everything works fine, but with GTA V I’m facing problems. The shadows seem too short, even when set to maximum. In the video you can see what I mean, especially around the bars in the footage. I’m not sure why this happens or how to fix it, and I don’t know how to explain it clearly. Thank you for your help.

It remains unchanged, perhaps I'm handling something different. I'm reviewing the configuration to ensure everything is correct.

Try adjusting the CVar to 1.90000. You are currently configured at 1. Increase it to 5.

I attempted and if I make a slight improvement, you will still be able to see and notice that unsettling square or box, particularly on the grass, which remains quite noticeable.

I've noticed that square or box on the grass. It seems like a game-related issue, as many people have encountered the same problem with GTA 5. This might be connected to the "Cascaded Shadow Map" engine setting. Fixing this glitch is quite challenging.
It could also be linked to these values, though I'm not completely confident.

It won't be resolved, it's an engine issue. I've dealt with this before—thousands of hours in the game—and it's just something that will never be fixed. It'll show up differently in various areas. The only way to reduce its impact is to enable shadow smoothing on Nvidia PCSS, which helps but won't eliminate it entirely. You can also lower the game settings and hide the minor issues, though it might make other problems worse. Good luck!
