Not someone who uses Ubuntu, but Amazon products were taken away a long time ago. There’s an option to decide if data collection should run during installation. Don’t pay attention to it. OpenBSD and similar BSDs are solid and reliable for certain needs, but if you’re just starting with Unix-like systems and want to play games, this isn’t the right direction right now.

You can experiment with different fonts and themes to customize Ubuntu’s appearance. Linux doesn’t inherently support Windows-style fonts, but many lookalike options exist. BSD has its own character set, so it can work well if you’re familiar with it. It’s great that you enjoy Linux—your curiosity is a good start! You’ve spent three decades with Windows and MS-DOS, which is impressive. Keep going!

You're curious about resharing the SSD space. It's possible to unpartition it, giving you flexibility if you prefer.

You can run live USBs and even set them up on USB drives, but performance will lag behind a SATA connection. Regarding partitioning, Windows can recognize non-Windows partitions, though Microsoft often tries to hide this for compatibility reasons. If you wish to remove the Linux partition, use Windows Partition Manager to delete it and then expand the Windows partition into the newly available space.
