It's a solid choice from a port standpoint. Rockstar seems to be maximizing every key, even using the page up function. I haven't noticed many skilled hackers yet, but it looks like some are making a lot of money—level 3s driving in expensive vehicles.

I strongly dislike individuals who engage in dishonest behavior to obtain wealth and luxury, then display it to appear skilled. Damn...

The process is entirely your choice. I haven’t met any hackers, though others have. It’s all online. I purchased it from Steam. While I can watch friends play, the game doesn’t let you join their sessions directly. Social Club is what GTA 5 uses for connecting players. If you bought from Rockstar, your friends wouldn’t notice you playing or track your progress. That’s up to you. I think you meant G2A? If that’s the case, go ahead and save some money—you should find a Steam key on those platforms so you can enjoy both savings and convenience.

I checked g2a and the Steam GTA 5 key was pricier than what they listed on Steam. I’m considering buying it from Steam instead. The reason behind my question was wondering if linking a social club to Steam might be an option, but it seems unlikely.

I believe the original Rockstar release is completely stable, while Steam players have faced numerous issues. I recently experienced one unexpected game termination.

Visit your social club profile and navigate to settings. Select linked accounts and try connecting Steam. It functioned for me, yet when attempting to add from linked accounts, it blocked the process. Someone might have an alternative approach.
