I'm preparing to install an eGPU on my Asus PB50 Mini PC (Ryzen 5 3550H with Vega 8 iGPU, 12GB RAM). Can the system run with a 12V 8A/12V 10A charger? I plan to use a GTX 1650 (Gigabyte GTX 1650 OC 4GB) that doesn't need 6/8 pin power or a PCIe connection, just a 75W GPU. What bottleneck might exist? Should I connect it via M.2 A + E Key or directly through PCIe?

Do you have a thought about a housing option for your eGPU? That could assist in assessing the power requirements.

Nope, just the EXP GDC and the GTX 1650, no other stuff (as far as I understand).

Beyond power, I notice another concern with your mini-PC. You need to open and keep the enclosure open to route any m.2/mini PCIe cable into it. That sounds quite risky.

Regarding GPU performance improvements, the 1650 won't offer a huge boost compared to the integrated video you currently have. Depending on the situation, it might even perform worse. It's unclear if the power will be worth the effort.

Would you like me to share a link to the specific PB50 Mini PC you're considering?

Upon reviewing the product details and reviews, it seems the laptop power supply isn't highlighted, though an adapter connection is present. This could provide enough power for both the device and the 1650.

I don't mind the mini pc's enclosure at all, there are two parts I can remove from it so I can run a cable through without exposing the case. This is useful for my setup. Here are some links to my PC:
(Model: ASUS PB50-BR072MD)
https://www.asus.com/displays-desktops/m...i-pc-pb50/
https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Graphics-802...B08GQC5BK1
I also saw a Reddit discussion about the DC IN port's power capacity, but it didn't provide much detail.

The majority of findings indicate the device is linked to a standard PC power supply unit. Try using the laptop charger instead. Information about this setup is limited.

I have sufficient funds to purchase a budget-friendly power supply unit if necessary... Thank you for your assistance!

Let us know how it proceeds. If you have an open m.2, that is the recommended interface.
