Updated my GPU drivers and right away checked the monitor—still showing an input error. Could you assist? Thanks!
Your GPU could have configured an excessively high refresh rate or resolution that your monitor isn't capable of handling, though this seems improbable. It's advisable to test a different cable or enter safe mode within Windows.
I question if it's the cable since it functions with my brother's configuration (identical specs), but I plan to attempt booting into safe mode.
Start by testing @lukes07's recommendation. Check if it appears in safe mode or another monitor. From there, use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove the graphics driver, then reinstall it—preferably with a freshly downloaded driver from your phone or computer to avoid Windows updates and NVIDIA downloads from unreliable sources. If it still doesn't show in safe mode and no alternative monitor is available, reset the monitor's settings via its OSD and choose between displayport versions if possible. Most monitors can auto-detect them, though some require manual version selection.
