Hey guys, my recently built pc has been restarting randomly. 1st time when I try to boot up Genshin Impact, 2nd when I was exiting Elden Ring, 3rd was when I was unplugging my gamepad to get it out of the way, and the 4th and 5th just happen now when I try to start up Lost Ark to grab my stuff before it expires. 1, 2 and 3 happen in the span of a week, while 4 and 5 just happen now back to back. I do have a screenshot for CPU load, but not sure how to attach it. Using Prime95 15min all 6 were under 100% while my temp was 57-58, and 75-76w.
Immediate restarts often stem from power problems. It could be beneficial to swap in a better PSU. The PSU options guide might assist. (Note: It's somewhat outdated, and newer devices may not appear.)
You have the option to pause as long as you can handle the restarts. Alternatively, you might try slightly lowering the GPU's clock speed—it could assist but will lower performance. The restart seems to be a safety measure to prevent overloading the hardware. However, I'm not entirely certain. Regarding the PSU, both you mentioned are fine, but a 750 or even lower would be better. That particular PSU isn't the top choice.
A solid budget pick on Amazon could be a 1,000 USD device that meets basic needs without breaking the bank. Since you're aiming for future-proofing, look for items with decent longevity and reliable performance.
It seems suitable for the 3070Ti is a 750W PSU, though some users report getting by with 650W. It really comes down to how stable the power supply is. A high-quality PSU lasts much longer. It’s fine, you should be able to remove the solution mark. I’m assuming the 650W PSU isn’t the best and has trouble handling higher performance demands. I think a 3060 might already struggle with a 3070 won’t improve things much. A 650W PSU isn’t the same as another 650W, and over time they can degrade slightly, causing hardware that worked well to fail. But I’m not entirely sure, there are people who know more about PSUs.
