Today I decided to add fans to my PC, which had been running without them for several months. I connected the SATA drive to the PSU using an adapter, shut down the system, and plugged it back in. When I turned it on, there was a faint buzz, but the PC didn’t start at all—no need for a screwdriver. After removing the SATA, the PC booted up, but the fans seemed to shut down completely within 10 to 15 seconds. The GPU fans weren’t working, the keyboard and mouse also failed to receive power. I took out the RAM and reinserted it, which gave the keyboard power, but the monitor still didn’t show anything. I’m worried about the GPU and think maybe it’s damaged. Given my budget of $75 per month for school, I might have to wait 6 to 7 months before getting a new GPU. What should I do?
