I made a backup of my hard drive to the SSD and attempted to boot from it through BIOS. It kept showing "attempting to boot from hard drive..." for more than ten minutes before I had to restart manually. When I removed the HDD, only the SSD was connected and still wouldn’t start up. Did I do something wrong during the cloning process? Or is this just a hardware issue? My HP machine has an important 120GB SSD, while the HDD is 455GB with only 95% used—easily replaceable. Please help me out before I consider giving up.

Don't become overly upset; it's a minor issue you can easily fix by re-cloning and restarting. Consider using alternative cloning tools or sticking to detailed instructions. It seems the clone didn’t go well, so retrying would be the next step. If that doesn’t work, try diff software for cloning.

Was die SSD im selben Bereich wie die Festplatte montiert? Haben Sie "Boot zu SSD" in die BIOS eingetragen, nachdem Sie die Startreihenfolge geändert haben?

I recall facing this problem when I first installed an SSD. It seemed to require using gparted to rearrange partitions, moving them back and forth by 1 MB on the disk. I believe the transition from traditional spinning disks to SSD's random access caused issues. The shifting of partitions restored them properly, but that was a long time ago—I might have just been talking. If that didn’t help, try booting with a LiveCD of Ubuntu and using DD to clone the drive to the SSD. I haven’t encountered any problems with that method.

I'm having trouble changing the order, my bios look messed up. I'll send an image to you, but I've already picked a boot device. I can't adjust it further.

Enter setup by pressing F10 to view the boot sequence. Your second photo might affect this process. You might need to try the clone again after removing the HDD, as your BIOS could treat the SSD like a regular hard drive—confirm if that’s accurate.
