Hello, I'm just getting started with assembling my first PC on my own. All components are ordered, but the delayed arrival of the RTX3070 has given me more time to figure out what really matters for my build. This experience taught me that picking the right RAM would be a mistake for my setup, so I won't be searching for another option. For clarity, I'm planning to use a Ryzen 7 3700X. I could have chosen the Ryzen 5 5600X, but I found a great deal on the 3700X and the performance boost from the newer CPU isn't substantial. My motherboard will be an Asus ROG Strix B550-F gaming WiFi. Initially, I considered a Hyperx 3200 MHz CL18 RAM, but I've come to realize it's not ideal for my system. I've been exploring alternatives and now believe a 3600 MHz CL16 kit offers the best balance of performance and value. I found this RAM package: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3600MHz 16GB CL16 (16-16-16-36) for around $149. However, I have some doubts—it's not listed on the motherboard's quality level. But after checking their site, I saw it fits my system and CPU. It might just be that the motherboard's rating is outdated. They claim this kit will enhance your Intel build, but according to G.Skill's guidelines, it's still recommended to match your components. Best regards!
