There are a few points I wanted to note. First, your Windows laptop seemed slow before, but now it’s taking longer to load things—this suggests an issue. Second, did you just upgrade or did you perform a full reinstall? A fresh install might help if you upgraded without doing a clean install. If not, you can go to Settings > Recovery > Reset PC. For a fresh install, you could use a USB drive with Windows 10. Third, what was the original price of the PC? Fourth, Windows 10 is quite new—wait about a month so any problems can resolve. In November there should be a bigger update with more features, so wait another month after that before trying again. For me, my system feels a bit faster since I moved from Windows 8.1. It’s fascinating how things change. Keep experimenting and explore the new options like snapping windows or using the latest apps.

I strongly disagree with you a lot! Windows 10 is my top choice.

Unquestionably, a five-minute startup is unacceptable for launching an operating system...

Your computer starts Windows 10 quickly, even with a slow old WD green hard drive, indicating a major installation issue.

He needs to perform a fresh setup and update the drivers before he can thoroughly assess 10 units installed across about 25 PCs and laptops, which have turned out to be nearly flawless after a clean installation. Additionally, the latest driver versions have been applied.

There are a few issues with your setup. My installation takes roughly 15 seconds to complete, and Edge performs better than Chrome, particularly when it comes to video loading.

Windows 10 launches quickly on an SSD in your core i3-4000m laptop. Since build 10240 I haven’t noticed any issues. I don’t rely on Edge for stability. Chrome offers a smoother experience. I prefer Windows 10 over OS X because its interface feels faster and more adaptable for users familiar with both systems.
