I recently purchased all the necessary parts to build a PC for the first time after installing everything. My system won’t start, the RAM RGB lights don’t activate, and neither does the CPU fan. I suspect the issue might be related to a BIOS update since I’m using a 3000 series CPU (Ryzen 5 3600x) with a GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. My motherboard has X470 AORUS Ultra gaming chipset, and I’m using Corsair Rage 750 RGB. The PSU is Corsair RM750. RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 with a 3200MHz clock. I know things are all mixed up.

Your motherboard might not be compatible with the Ryzen 3000 CPUs, which could cause issues. You could try borrowing one, visit a local tech store for assistance, purchase an affordable Ryzen Athlon, or use the AMD update kit.

- Did you connect the front panel connectors? - Have you updated your BIOS for the Ryzen 3000?

AMD Ryzen™ 3000 Processors are compatible with the latest AM4 motherboards and work backward with Ryzen™ 2000 and 1000 models. The earlier generations weren't supported until chipset version 19.10.16 and BIOS F40. You should check for a sticker indicating 3rd generation support, possibly on the right side of the box. Additionally, some manufacturers display the last two digits of the serial number to show the factory-installed BIOS. Look for a serial number ending in "40" or higher.

Try skipping the CPU and using the flash technique with Qflash Plus. 1-3 Using Q-Flash Plus A. Before Starting
1. Visit GIGABYTE's site to get the newest compressed BIOS update that fits your motherboard.
2. Extract the file, place it on a USB stick, and label it GIGABYTE.bin. Make sure the drive uses FAT32/16 and is a USB 2.0 model.
3. Plug the USB stick into the back panel’s white port.
B. If both BIOS files don’t load during startup, pause for 15-20 seconds. The system will look for the correct file on the USB stick. The FBIOS_LED lights up during matching and flashing. Wait 2-3 minutes; it will turn off once the main BIOS is done. After that, the system restarts and DualBIOS™ updates the backup BIOS. Finally, it reboots again to load from the main BIOS.

Did you connect the six-pin power cable for the CPU? It’s usually found in the top left corner of the motherboard. Often ignored by new builders.

Thank you for your patience. I understand now it's due to that factor, not any mistakes on my part.

Thank you for your reply. I don't own the F40 model; I'm still using the F2 version and need to upgrade it.

The issue lies with the bios.
