You’re downloading a .dmg file for Windows 10 Home 64-bit and need to install it on your MacBook Pro running OS 10.10.5. Since the .dmg won’t work directly, follow these steps to use a flash drive:

1. Create a bootable USB from the .dmg file.
2. Insert the USB into your MacBook Pro.
3. Restart your Mac and select “Restart” → “Advanced Options” → “Restart.”
4. Choose “Use USB as the first boot device.”
5. Wait for the installation to begin, then follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Once installed, you can mount the Windows installation media and proceed with setup.

If you need further help, let me know!

Do you possess a license key for Windows 10? If not, you should complete the update process before attempting a clean install. Otherwise, Microsoft won<|pad|> can’t assign you a Windows 10 key. For the installation, I recommend using this website to generate an installation media (CD, USB drive, etc.), insert it into your desktop, and boot from the device. Windows will then guide you through the setup process smoothly. I hope this assists you. Have a great day.

You have a product key and it successfully downloaded as an ISO file. I'll try that tool for you.

I just noticed something, do you want to install Windows 10 on your MacBook? I’m a bit confused since you mentioned a desktop first and then a laptop, which makes it clear you’re talking about the MacBook. So what I said might not be relevant to your situation.

OK so I'm having it installed on my desktop, not the macbook. The desktop is entirely new, so no old os or any data. I'm partway through installation now, but now windows setup wants hdd drivers...
