Initial setup, fans aren't connected to the motherboard
PC components: Mobo - PRIME H610M-E D4 case - Aerocool hive mid tower (includes 3 fans). Fans - aerocool (details unavailable). The pins on this fan don't match the Mobo's, so they won't fit directly. You can link them together, leaving two cables (GDV and a 4-pin with a blank). Do I have to purchase an adapter or change the connections?
The top image shows the RGB connector. At the bottom, it can be applied to the CHA header.
It looks like you have three pin fans that aren't PWM, and they match the 4-pin MMO fan headers. The plug has a slight indentation, so you can fit them in. GDV might mean German for RGB—just plug the RGB header into it.
Consider adjusting the fan pin placement to match the design, since the pin has a clip while the header has a guard. For the GDV cable, check if it needs repositioning or securing based on the new setup.
It might be better to use higher quality images. The 3-pin cable should connect to the three outer pins of the four-pin header (if that makes sense). The GDV cable should go into the ARGB/Rainbow header, which has matching round pins. The three-pin version (not RGB with four pins) should be placed in the ARGB/Rainbow slot.
The ARGB setting appears to work correctly now. That issue has been resolved for the fans, as it doesn't show up in your photos. Thank you!
It's a PWM 4-pin design, so it should work fine with any SYS or FAN header. Your board appears to be quite old, lacking RGB features.
Mobo : Prime H610M-E, place it in the header despite the odd clips and guard on the fans and board.
Ignore the clips you need to adjust pins for the header. Your board includes a single RGB header as per the specifications https://www.asus.com/fr/motherboards-com.../techspec/. At the "10" position
RGB setup issues on the fan. The clip mechanism is rubbing against the black guard on the header, which doesn’t work no matter the angle. I found an old discussion about this and a cool idea: connect both fans together and just use the power and RGB cables, bypassing the header. Thoughts? Also thanks for your help!
