just assembled my first PC and tested everything—all components powered up correctly. i confirmed the power supply was connected, motherboard secure, and fans running. when i linked the tower to a monitor, nothing appeared and it didn’t boot. using the display cable to the GPU still showed no signal. this is confusing and makes me worried i spent money on wrong parts. case: lian li pc-o11 dynamic tg mini atx motherboard cpu: intel core i5 12400f 6 core lga 1700 ram: kongst 32gb (2x16gb) kf560c36bweaak-32 fury beast rgb 6000mt/s dimm ram ssd: samsung 1tb 970 evo plus m2 nvme gpu: asus geforce rtx 3060 dual 12g oc white graphics card power supply: cooler master 750w 80+ gold sfx cpu cooler: cooler master ml240l argb v2 white edition fans: cooler master 120mm sickleflow argb x6 edited november 29 2023 by charles2301

Check if the displayport or HDMI cable is connected to the GPU. Try removing the RAM and installing it in another slot. Clear the CMOS settings.

The displayport is connected to the GPU. I placed the RAM in the right slots, but haven’t removed them or cleared the CMOS yet—I’m not sure how to do that, so I’ll look it up. I plan to try this tomorrow and update you on the results! Thanks for your help!

Reset the CMOS by taking out the battery and then putting it back after some time. Consider relocating the RAM since there could be a faulty stick or slot.
