They're using a z690 board with a 13th gen CPU. Updating the BIOS via Q-flash or bios flashback might resolve the problem.

Confirmed. @HDragn - These are the 2x16 DDR4-3600 kits compatible with this board as listed by the manufacturer's QVL. Make sure to choose 13th-gen Intel; the search will default to 12th-gen.

You're at the site with OP. I didn't notice a part number until now. It seems this might relate to a BIOS update for the 13th-gen Intel, possibly affecting RAM speed compared to the 3600 model. That's a valid observation, though I believe the model name you're considering would probably appear when searching for recent purchases on Corsairs. I still feel it's more likely a BIOS configuration rather than RAM speed being the main concern. What do you think?
