Hey guys, I've just upgraded to a Gigabyte Vision OC 3080 from my 2070S but I'm having some trouble with it, I can't get a post with the 3080 installed in the first PCIe slot! ● 3080 doesn't work in the FIRST PCIe slot ● 3080 works in the SECOND PCIe slot ● 3080 works in other GEN 3 PC's ● 2070s works in BOTH PCIe slots The 3080 fans spin & the logo lights up, but doesn't post / 'no signal' on my monitors - The 3080 doesn't even get warm whilst the PC is on with no display showing, it's literally not being detected atall... Things I've tried so far : ●Updating BIOS ●DDU safe mode drivers ●Cleaning PCIe slot ●Resetting BIOS to default settings ●Unplugged all SATA/USB devices ●Reseating/Checking CPU for bent pins ●Reseating alternate RAM sticks in the preferred slots ●Making sure PCIe power cables are correctly clipped in ●UEFI/CSM both modes ●Settings PEG0 to Gen 3/2/1/Auto ●Different HDMI/DP cables ●Removing my M.2 My Specs; MSI Z490 Tomahawk Corsair 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz 10700KF 2070S/3080 RM850X Thanks in advance

All power connections from the PSU to the GPU appear correct. There doesn’t seem to be any daisy-chained PCIe cables involved. Your RX 6800 XT wasn’t detected because one of the cables wasn’t properly seated in the PSU, and even after trying a daisy chain, it didn’t work—so you ended up using separate PCIe cables instead.

Everything is working correctly now. I bought a fresh PSU a few days back just to check, but it didn’t help. I’m using a daisy chain PCIe power cable, and I’ll try again!

I recently tested two separate PCIe cables but faced issues. For extra caution, I left them connected and tried clearing CMOS again, avoided using any USB or SATA drives, swapped the RAM sticks, yet nothing worked.

PCIE Gen setting remains unresolved even with a riser for your RX 6800 XT. It functions when you manually adjust the Gen to 3.0, but using the second slot doesn’t support resizing the bar. The first slot seems to be the correct choice.

I also switched PEG0 (probably PCIe 1) to Gen 3. I've experimented with Gen 1, 2, and 3, as well as Auto. I've tried different ResizeBAR settings, Above 4G decoding, UEFI/CSM, and a few other configurations too…
