It doesn't seem to match what was needed initially. Manga hairstyles aim to enhance the vibe? Custom designs can be quite awkward. As for Tomb Raider's realism—probably realistic enough, considering it's modern. In its world, hair straighteners and products like Dax Wax aren't necessary. I think it's feasible there. For now, stick to the basics and enjoy the game. Mods come in handy when you're bored or frustrated.

Vanilla was too dull, so I stopped playing altogether—no more games since.

Apologies, this was directed at the original poster, not you. It doesn't make sense to modify something if you're unsure what to change.

Thanks for all the ideas. I plan to play the vanilla version first to check if anything is missing. I was wondering about the main quests, texture quality, and UI optimization for K&M. From what I recall, mods improved the game objectively because it was released incomplete. I mostly stayed away from news about the game until now, knowing I’d eventually play it and really disliking spoilers. Maybe official updates addressed those issues, making vanilla the better choice. That’s my usual approach about 99.9%.

Adjusting the game enhances rather than alters the core experience (unless you prefer that direction). The original narrative remains intact. Avoid getting caught up in sentimental views of religious rituals—those are just distractions from the main content. You’re already invested financially, so don’t waste time on trivialities. The developers envisioned a modded world, and that’s what matters. -Use MO. (This is crucial—texture work becomes much easier) -Secure the official update if you own all DLCs or unofficial patches. -Refresh the user interface for K&M. -Elevate textures beyond the standard 2k pack, such as floral redesigns and town updates (distinct from full town overhauls). Mod creators have put in around 32cm of effort for Tamriel Reloaded, CaBaL120 for aMidianBorn, and Laast—definitely worth exploring. JK, Skyrim looks stunning and works well overall, though you might want to refresh certain spots. -Install the static mesh upgrade mod. -If you have sufficient resources, experiment with grass mods and ENBs (I wish I could). -Keep track of your playthrough notes, noting what you liked or disliked, and check the nexus for alternatives. Mods to avoid in a fresh start are complex follower content—they’re often overpowered and disrupt gameplay with their dialogue. Combat and survival/needs mods are better choices. -Survival and NPC mods can be fun, but they shift the tone heavily toward humor and change the atmosphere significantly. They lean into the follower category, but offer more depth than just followers. -Personally, I’d prefer NPC texture swaps, though that can affect character investment. You’re free to change appearances anytime, so there’s no strict rule. Some players have stopped due to frustrating characters, but it’s a personal preference.

No, I don't care about those phrases. I focus on clear communication and relevant topics.

I just run it vanilla, the game works well as it stands. I still occasionally jump in to finish side tasks and check out new areas.
