I assembled a gaming PC a couple of months back. As someone new to building PCs, I spent a lot of time researching and watching tutorials before starting. I’m pretty sure the setup is solid and there aren’t any obvious problems. I’m facing occasional stuttering during boot-up and game launch. It begins mild and intensifies rapidly. If I keep it running for a while, the screen freezes completely and I have to shut it down manually. Usually, I notice the issue early enough to disconnect and restart. After that, everything works smoothly for hours without any trouble. I’m worried this might be a hardware fault requiring a replacement part. I’ve swapped out my GPU mainly to boost performance in 1440p, so I don’t think that’s the cause. My CPU scores well on Cinebench, and there are no temperature readings on the GPU or CPU. I haven’t checked the PSU wattage, but I suspect it might be too low after upgrading from a Radeon RX 7700 XT to RX 7800 XT. That could potentially lead to stuttering. I haven’t run any additional tests, but I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Check for relevant games by choosing a high-performance power plan and ensuring your drivers, particularly GPU drivers, are current from AMD’s site. Running sfc /SCANNOW via an administrator command prompt might address file corruption, though success is uncertain.
It's occurred in nearly every game I've tried on the platform. This has happened in titles like Cities Skylines 2, Alan Wake 2, and Monster Hunter World. I adjusted my power plan to a balanced setting, which helped. The scan also found some corrupted files and fixed them. No more problems reported so far. It doesn't always happen, so we'll monitor. It occurred just once after making these adjustments. I believe some problems might relate to background processes during startup when my PC begins. As long as I don’t jump straight into Steam or launch a game right away after logging in, it doesn’t seem to happen. Still, the changes seem to have made a difference.
