Information about improving processor compatibility with Windows 11
I’m thinking about buying a new processor for my gaming tower from 2014 to run Windows 11. I’m worried the upgrade might not work, but my main goal is to get comfortable with Windows 11 at home so I can present myself confidently to clients. I’ve checked Microsoft’s compatible list and think I just need to know the minimum generation I should pick and any tips you have. Right now I don’t have a TPM module, and I’ll be getting one soon.
You're facing difficulties with the 1151 platform. However, by using Rufus to build Windows 11, you might be able to install it on your existing device. Upgrade or not. The eighth generation is the official Intel CPU or newer.
There is a page on tom's with instructions on how to do it. I'm not sure where exactly, but I understand now and it makes sense. Also, Rufus is the method I used to create my working ISO for Windows 11 that has functioned on all the machines I've needed to install it on.
