We own two older HP systems designed for offline tasks, specifically the HP 440 six-core models. The machines function properly, but their graphics cards are outdated 670-series units that have reached the end of their life. I’m wondering if the GTX900 or GTX1050 series can run on these computers. I don’t want to discard them for a cheaper used card, and they’re both still operational. Please let me know.

you would need to figure out the power source these older systems use, identify the connection options the OEM systems provide, and understand the card sizes they support, among other details.

The 900 series appears to be quite reliable. A few 10 series cards might need a UEFI BIOS, but it seems this BIOS support is available in newer versions of the Z440 BIOS.

Eximo, the BIOS was my main worry since I understand that some older HP models won't boot with a 900 series card installed. I thought we'd be safe using a 900 series card, but it's worth verifying. I think they have the updated BIOS; these computers aren't affected, so a 900 should work fine.
