Prepare yourselves, kids, this journey will take a while... (Anyone with tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated). System details for my PC: Mobo model ASUS B350 Plus, CPU Ryzen 1500x, RAM generic G-Skill (confirmed compatible), GPU EVGA GTX 1060, 3GB RAM, HDD Seagate 2TB, USB external drive. A bit of sighing here... I ordered a Seagate 2TB USB external hard drive instead of the WD Blue internal one. To get it running, I formatted the disk, opened it, connected it via SATA, changed the file format to NTFS using Diskpart during Windows setup, switched from MBR to GPT, and finally it booted. It worked for a week before... well, let's just say it started acting up. Every time I power it on, it goes through this repetitive "Windows Automatic Diagnosis" process. It either: A) Spends hours loading everything, or B) runs the diagnostic and then either shuts down or restarts. We've tried reinstalling Windows, reinstalling drivers, cleaning everything, and even reformatting the drive—still the same A or B outcome. Also, the Faytun wireless adapter would turn off after about five minutes of use, forcing a full restart. Hope someone can lend a hand or offer advice. Thank you!

I'm uncertain if this will assist you, but on a very unlikely chance I decided to share it. Earlier this week I faced a comparable issue where my internet would intermittently drop—certain apps worked fine while others lost connection, except for Discord. After spending an afternoon diagnosing the problem, my computer entered the exact boot sequence you mentioned, either looping endlessly or restarting after diagnosis. Eventually, reinstalling Windows resolved the matter and it turned out to be a stubborn virus that was progressively blocking access to the system, though I had no clue how it infiltrated. This likely isn't your issue if you've already attempted reinstallation. The only real possibility is that your storage device contained a concealed partition or something the malware was hiding in, but the odds are minimal. Still, I thought it worth mentioning since the symptoms were quite alike.

Consider attempting a system restart to determine if it resolves the issue. Verify that USB Legacy Support is activated in the BIOS settings. Test the device by connecting it to the front panel USB ports—success there could indicate driver installation is required.
