So I can't recreate the 40c ambient infinite pc reboot without actually owning a 40c ambient unit. I might consider using an air conditioner, though I'm worried it could affect my health. Other cooling methods have been tried, and it seems the room temperature doesn’t consistently reach 40°C, even when outside is hot. The event viewer frequently displayed temperature-related events, possibly related to the CPU or motherboard, especially during idle states. Also, the GPU stopped working abruptly during intense gaming in heat, but the rest of the system remained operational. This suggests one component might be damaged and could be replaced if I can identify it properly. At this stage, I could shut down the PC on a day with around 40°C and restart it later to try gaming again, but I’d rather fix the faulty part instead. The room’s temperature range is between -5°C and +40°C throughout the year. Note: It’s not the gaming or PC heat that causes this problem—rather, it’s the external ambient heat.

It might be as basic as the case power switch (when the room gets warm, metal expansion creates a short that causes an endless restart like holding the power button). You could attempt to disconnect the front panel from the motherboard and check if the issue persists, though this is difficult because you need to reach that temperature in your room.

So in short, the computer starts rebooting repeatedly when the surrounding temperature hits 40 C (104 F).
And it keeps happening.
Is that correct?

No, it isn't the power button issue, verified since the PC displayed identical symptoms after all parts were installed in a different case.

I have reviewed all other factors that might be influencing the pc on these hot days. Keep in mind, it's only affecting this pc and my other pc and appliances are unaffected. It's not related to power delivery or distribution inside or around my house, which makes me more convinced about a damaged cpu, motherboard, ram, ssd, nvme, psu—essentially all the older parts I own without upgrading recently. Now I can't handle such heat anymore because of heat damage.

So, regarding how to identify the faulty component without worsening the situation, consider: in your experience, pc parts can have damage and still function normally until the conditions that should trigger failure aren't met, especially with excessive ambient heat.

Note: What I recall now is that power delivery remained uninterrupted during these endless reboots, simply appearing as a window restarting repeatedly.

The room temperature could reach 40 degrees, but you're concerned that using an air conditioner might affect your well-being?

I'm really concerned about staying in a 40°C environment, wasn't this my only option when I had to leave a place with stable year-round conditions. I'll keep checking whenever I can move, but for now, do you have any idea what might be causing my PC problems while I’m stuck here in the summer heat? It would help me fix this issue if I could sort it out. I'm making improvements to this property, and it might then suit someone else better for living in the heat.

To sum up, the damage could affect the CPU, motherboard, RAM, HDD, SSD, NVMe, or PSU—any of these are possible. But instead of replacing parts with new ones, I’d prefer to identify the exact damaged component without swapping everything out, which seems like the best approach right now.

I also want to note that I don’t like having a damaged or faulty PC, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. (And if the title matches what you expect for an RX 7900 XT?)

Sorry, my comment was quite useful.
I would begin by launching the PC with only the essentials required to access Windows: PSU, motherboard, CPU, RAM, and OS drive.
If the issue continues, it likely points to one of these parts. If it can’t be reproduced, add the GPU and retry. Should the problem persist again, it may be related to the GPU, drivers, or possibly the PSU.

Following the guidelines provided, streamline the setup to a minimal setup. Check if reboots persist. If not, reintegrate components individually, spacing each addition by a day or so. Monitor performance displays and logs. Should infinite rebooting occur again, identify any changes linked to the recently added part.

In addition to the suggestions for handling the 40c rebooting problem—either following the recommended steps or replacing all parts—I also consider trying a complete hardware overhaul. I’m aware that the system seems to function normally after a full rebuild, even though it was previously unstable. I haven’t encountered anyone else dealing with infinite reboots using an RX 7900 XT and a monitor in standby mode; this only happens if power was interrupted during operation, and it usually stops once the monitor is activated again.
