I've noticed some sellers on eBay offering log in details for Steam accounts they possess, along with a few games. You pay £6 and receive the log in details for that shared account, which is then sold to thousands of others. You download the game from that account and play it offline. Is this safe? Could this be a method to hack you? Has anyone tried this before?

Safe? Never. How can you confirm it's their account? It might be stolen login details they're offering. Not secure at all. Avoid this completely.
