Indicators for CPU and DRAM status
Indicators for CPU and DRAM status
I recently assembled my system using a Ryzen 5 3600 G-Skill Ripjaws 16 GB 3600MZ and an MSI Tomahawk B450 Max. The CPU and DRAM lights on the motherboard are active. My monitor isn’t detecting any signal from the PC, though I’ve confirmed the CPU and RAM are functioning correctly. Could there be a solution?
You're just starting out with computers—no problem! If you want to clear the CMOS, check your device's manual or look for a settings option related to power management.
Begin by turning off your computer and disconnecting the power from the PSU. Locate the CLR_CMOS pins—usually on the bottom right of the motherboard—and briefly connect a screwdriver to short them for three seconds. Alternatively, use a small silver object roughly 6/8 inch in diameter near the center of the board; gently push a tab from one side to release the button cell, then wait two minutes before reinserting it, ensuring the face is facing down.
