The light on your PC keeps blinking, and you're unsure what it signifies. It usually indicates the hard drive is being accessed or functioning, but you're puzzled about why it stays on continuously after returning from Memory Express.

Information is continuously being accessed from your storage device. When it didn’t keep updating regularly, it likely indicated a malfunction.

They might keep the light working by connecting it to the incorrect header. Consult the motherboard guide and verify everything.

I'm a little confused as first you say its "always flashing" and then say "it never comes off", so which is it? I know when I installed an Intel Enterprise NVMe drive in my PC an odd side effect was my access LED changed from off for idle, on for accessing to on for idle, off for access. If its mostly on but does turn off, it could be the same thing? Did they change/add a new SSD?

Polarity flipped to turn it on during inactivity! Cool, huh?

It seems like you're questioning the usual approach.

LEDs operate in one direction only. Reversing the polarity will make them inactive. For more details on diodes, check this link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diode
