You need to verify compatibility for the RAM you're considering. Check your system's specifications and ensure the new RAM matches the specifications listed by Micron.

I’m not very familiar with RAM, but it’s best to get the same RAM stick. Keeping the capacity consistent is important, and mixing different brands in the same slot can cause serious problems.

Which CPU and motherboard are you using? (Feel free to show a picture if you're unsure) Could you also snap a photo of your current stick? Make sure the text on the black icons is clear for identification.

Teamgroup is the same again—it seems you now have double the 4GB sticks? You have 2x 4GB sticks available?

Consult the QVL directory on your motherboard's support page. DDR4 is currently affordable, making it worthwhile to swap both sticks for a single 8 GB module totaling 16 GB. Including another identical pair will cap performance at the modules' maximum speeds. If your board offers faster rates, upgrading slightly could be a good move since price differences are minimal.

To pick RAM, check the specifications in the file and match them with your system needs.
