It's not extremely hard to switch your chip, but you'll need to know the specific steps for your board and processor model.

The processor can be swapped out easily. But once you remove every screw, make sure to twist the CPU cooler first. Keep in mind the BIOS details for your motherboard—they contain helpful guidance.
