Hi there, I understand you're not very familiar with the networking team. Your home uses a company internet connection, and each room has two Ethernet ports, but only one is active at a time. You're wondering if you can turn the other ports on yourself since customer support isn't helping much. Let me know if you need more details!

You might sidestep the issue entirely by switching things around. It’s likely the other port’s problem lies with them.

You can purchase a network switch from Amazon. Plugging your working Ethernet into the switch increases the number of ports available. An example switch is provided here.

It makes sense. Your port is on one side of the room and the device you need is on the other. If a switch functions, a long Ethernet cable should also work. It might be messy, but you could adjust your modem inside your home if needed.

If the provider is involved, I advise against making changes. Consider purchasing a switch as suggested by @Zalosath, or request modifications from the company. Avoid altering anything outside your control.

Thank you for your assistance. After reviewing some information, I adjusted a few cables on my modem and successfully enabled another wall port in my space.
