Increasing bclk reduces GPU efficiency
Increasing bclk reduces GPU efficiency
I'm adjusting my overclock settings on my Xeon E5-2603v3 and each time I raise the bclk, the graphics score in Fire Strike decreases. The physics score keeps improving, which means I'm overclocking the CPU properly. Meanwhile, the GPU temperature drops unexpectedly, as if it were being underclocked. Anyone know what's happening and how to resolve this?
System details:
CPU Xeon E5-2603v3
GPU EVGA SC GTX770
Memory: 4GB Crucial 2133 / 4GB Kingston 2400
Power Supply: 750w Cooler Master
Current settings: bclk 100MHz, 102MHz, 104MHz
Graphics scores:
- 100MHz: 8254
- 102MHz: 8037
- 104MHz: 7933
Physics score:
- 100MHz: 4396
- 102MHz: 4410
- 104MHz: 4429
I believe someone mentioned that boosting it with even numbers might disrupt the internal clock. I adjusted it to 105mhz and it worked.

You might be able to overclock your hard drive too. Increasing the bclk seems to speed it up as well.
