I recently secured a great offer on a 5950x CPU. I paired it with a fresh motherboard (MSI X570 Unify) and began assembling my new PC. I used my old dual 980 Pro running in RAID 0 from the 5900X system, and everything worked smoothly until I tried Windows. After testing CineBench, I noticed only 12 and 24 threads were available, confirming the limitation. I suspect this might be related to the new motherboard and CPU. Could you assist?
CPU-Z provides details about your CPU components. Make sure you selected the 5950X model, not the 5900X.
You're referring to the BIOS settings. To confirm, you should check which configuration is active in your device manager and ensure it's enabled for your system.
The display will show the number of disabled cores in the CPU settings. Switching one core off might reveal the remaining four cores.
