I recently installed a new cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600, specifically the GIGABYTE ATC800 RGB. Now I can enable Turbo Boost to run at 4.2 GHz. Temperatures are stable and everything seems normal. However, when launching Discord it crashed with a "critical process died" error and displayed a blue screen. Since no heavy workload was being applied, should I consider increasing the CPU voltage or is this an unexpected crash?

Have you shared this before? I thought I’d seen it somewhere else. Just in case, make sure to disable xmp/dcop, remove any ant from the SOC, update the BIOS, and check again. Reposting can be frustrating.

xmp is active and I really need that quick memory to keep speeds at 2400mhz. For the rest, I'll wait and check if it crashes again—possibly due to a different power cable from another power supply. If it does, I can try the solution you mentioned.

Also I saw the "kernel power" error in the event viewer, which happened when the crash occurred—suggests the system wasn’t receiving enough power.

Idle with no visible details around 42°C, but Discord shows 45-50°C. Cinnebench reaches up to 82°C for me, though it hit before 87°C.

Wow, 87 is impressive! My setup runs at 4.1ghz with 1.25v and it's sitting around 40-41°C. Cinebench shows 69-70°C, and Prime95 small FFTs hit ~83. If you were me, I’d lower the overclock. 87 in Cinebench is quite high—best out there!
