I achieved a 4790k overclock at 4.7ghz and expect to improve further with the new cooler. My RAM runs at 2133mhz with 10-11-10-30 timings, and it performed better at 1866mhz vs 2133mhz. Stabilizing at 2400mhz with 14-14-14-36 timings and 1.65v was challenging, but it’s not uncommon. You might want to keep tweaking timings and voltage until you hit stability at 2400mhz. At that speed, expect a noticeable boost compared to 2133mhz, similar to the jump from 1866mhz. For 2400mhz, consider voltages around 1.65-1.70v and stable timings; higher speeds like 2666mhz could also work but may require more careful tuning. Your airflow helps keep things cool, which is great!

You're clearly pushing the limits, huh? 1.65v on RAM and running nonstop? That's a tough call. Do you want a super stable setup for nonstop use, or are you open to custom tweaks and hoping for the best? Don't get too excited about squeezing in 4.7ghz—those numbers are already strong for that chip. I'd go with a solid 2133 and focus on tight timings, or maybe 1800 if things start to slip.

I think you're likely near the maximum. Voltage-wise, don't adjust timings beyond 14-14-14 to achieve 2400MT/s. Experiment with IMC voltages if your CPU struggles at higher frequencies. Generally, I wouldn't push much further because performance gains from Haswell usually aren't large with memory speeds. Focus on tweaking the subtimings now. Only in certain tests might it matter, but nothing worth sharing widely. 1.65V is the XMP voltage for DDR3...

I've seen that 1.75 is suitable for Haswell. Is the current 1.615 running continuously safe? I'm thinking about using this platform for about 2 to 3 years before possibly moving to a newer system.

You might be able to reach up to 5GHz with your Dark Rock Pro 4 by possibly replacing the CPU. It could help boost performance while ensuring it stays reliable for daily use.
