Hey there, Tim. I was attempting to boost my CPU performance because I run many CPU-heavy applications such as Blender. I’m stuck and PBO actually reduced my Cinebench R20 score significantly. I’m worried about making changes in the BIOS and prefer using Ryzen Master, but if you think I should explore that option, I’m all in. With an ML360R AIO, I assume I can push the CPU to higher speeds, correct? If anyone has a reliable overclock guide for this chip, please share it. I’ve searched online but only found users reporting speeds around 4.2, which doesn’t align with the listed boost of 4.6. Programs like Cinebench and 3D Mark show my CPU at 3800mhz. I’m just starting out with overclocking and honestly still confused after watching many tutorials. What advice do you have? Thanks!

Clock speeds adjust based on the number of cores—maximum boost applies to one core, then decreases for multiple cores. The 3900x doesn’t offer the best or simplest performance, and poor cooling can lead to even worse results.

Restore everything to its original state and let it be. I wouldn't bother with a 3900x since they're quite challenging to start with. The key is to make the smallest adjustment possible while increasing the clock speed slightly. If things go wrong, just add a slight voltage boost and repeat the process. Avoid exceeding 1.35v—ideally aim for 1.325v for better results. Those handling 4.2ghz often run at 1.4v, which can harm the CPU over time because it's not meant to stay there constantly.
