Absolutely, having four gigabytes of RAM is quite low now, and using dual-channel can slightly improve the CPU's speed.

Having more than 4GB could certainly help. Although there isn't a guarantee that all laptops will get dual channel. Depending on how it's wired, you might only get single channel but I still recommend another 4GB either way.
