Consider your system setup before adjusting RAM speed. With a 5900x, RTX 3060 Ti LHR and strong cooling, pushing to 3266mhz might be feasible. However, stability isn't guaranteed—test changes gradually and monitor performance. Overclocking can improve speed but may also cause issues if not done carefully.

I believe rgb pro includes several dies, with the preferred ones being micron and samsung, while the cheaper options are hynix. Use the burner to verify your RAM's IMC; it will likely only support 3600-3866 MHz, as micron dies work well above 4000 but aren't as precise. Samsung probably had some revisions with different dies, so you might get good timings and frequencies like 4000 CL14 if you have the right one.

Notice no significant change in performance when switching from 3200 to 3266 MHz for RAM. After identifying your Vengeance kit components using the Ryzen RAM calculator, input your system specs to explore potential upgrades. Keep in mind that tighter timings can offer diminishing returns compared to slower speeds.

I never again pushed my RAM beyond 3400mhz while enabling CPB. It was a stressful situation, but eventually it stabilized after adjusting the frequency back to 3200mhz and setting CPB to auto. It was quite an emotional experience lasting about 15 minutes.

Welcome to Overclocking.. it's all about testing and adjusting. What helps me might not help you, but understanding each setting can boost your performance.

There was also a flashing orange indicator beside the RAM, confirming it was the RAM and not the CPB.

It's likely you'll have to adjust the timing or increase the DRAM voltages when moving up the frequency range.

don't try anything at once, just focus on one thing at a time so you can understand what affects stability. Your RAM specs would also be useful for optimizing performance.

For Thaiphoon you need to install something, but I’m not keen on risking a virus on my brand-new PC because it’s quite powerful. Also, some sources say Thaiphoon isn’t reliable and might not be worth it.
