The board handles frequencies up to 2.866 with no timing adjustments. Voltage was configured at 1.4. Post codes F9 appear five times before resetting frequency to 2400.

For memory overclocking, disconnect your storage device. You might end up booting into Windows and damaging it.

It seems Threadripper has always been Threadripper. Early versions of the memory controllers were quite poor, with 2933MHz being the best you could expect. The 2866 chipset likely represents the highest practical performance for a CPU.
