Incorrect Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB RAM kits at 3000MHz availability
I possess two sets of those rams (2x2x8GB) but I’m facing issues using them. I believe running them at 3000 MHz would cause crashes, whether via XMP or manual settings. My question is: Can I configure them for native speeds without a crash? Also, why are they mismatched? That seems to be my mistake—I rushed the purchase and didn’t pay much attention.
I'm not a RAM specialist, but based on the timing differences I suspect the RAM issue might be causing the crash. You could attempt adjusting the settings manually to run at a lower XMP speed or modify the timing parameters to align better.
This setup has been used for three years, and you're aiming for a full performance at around 2933 MHz.
Check the memory usage while the system runs smoothly. If the change isn't significant, it probably isn't worth the effort. The current situation doesn't justify the investment. Early Ryzen's memory issues make this even more problematic.
I attempted to adjust to 15 and 16 GHz at 3000 MHz, but it crashed when loading the window. At 2133 MHz it would work better.
It might be due to the memory controllers on the Ryzen Zen+ being quite limited, making it hard to enable XMP across multiple sticks, even if they come from the same set.
