Incorporating RAM at various velocities

I recently opened my laptop to clean it and I noticed I have a free RAM slot to use. I have an 8gb 2400Mt/s stick from previous laptops and I thought of adding it. But my current laptop has a 16gb 3200 Mt/s in and Im not sure if the decrease in speeds is worth it

I managed to handle it, though I’m worried about making mistakes. It’s still a Lenovo laptop from many years ago.

I mostly use it for studying and opened around 1000 Chrome tabs, but recently I began playing Valorant with friends on it.

You can verify your RAM's actual performance using different tools or by checking online for the memory controller's supported maximum speed. It is usually lower than the RAM's fastest rate.
