Incomplete section regarding MOBO

The Gigabyte G5 stopped charging recently. While browsing MOBO, I spotted a missing component but couldn't find a diagram explaining its purpose. I'm seeking advice on where to look for a diagram that clarifies what part is missing. I've attached photos of the board and the missing piece.

I notice several missing parts. Companies design boards with gaps for future upgrades, so they don’t fill every hole on basic models. Your problem is probably not due to a completely absent part.

I examined the two sections adjacent to the heat spreader, which feature solder joints with horse shoe shaped copper spaces that appear unmodified, retaining their original attachment as shown in the previous image.

These issues typically stem from a drained battery or a faulty connection. A missing component is unlikely unless the problem is severe.

I started by swapping out the battery, but it didn’t make a difference. After powering it back on, the device seemed to attempt charging and then reach full capacity, only to lose track of having a battery at all.
