I want to improve my desktop. I purchased an asrock h610M-HVS motherboard and an i3 14th CPU. After installation, I got a warning "no signal check connection." I looked online and discovered that this configuration doesn't support graphics. Then I bought a new graphics card, Arktek GeForce G 210 1 GB. Despite the changes, my setup still doesn't function properly or display graphics. What might be causing this issue?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I recently purchased an ASRock H610M-HVS motherboard paired with an i3 14th generation CPU. When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide detailed information about your system. Please list your components clearly as follows:

CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
RAM:
Storage (SSD/HDD):
GPU:
Power Supply:
Chassis:
Operating System:
Monitor:

Include the age of the power supply, along with its make and model. Also, mention the BIOS version currently installed on your motherboard.

I researched online and found that this configuration doesn’t support graphics cards.
ASRock H610M-HVS
Compatible with 14th, 13th, and 12th Gen Intel Core processors (LGA1700); features a 5-phase power design; includes 2 x DDR4 DIMMs, supports dual channel up to 3200 MHz; offers 1 PCIe 4.0 x16 and 1 PCIe 3.0 x1 slot; graphics options include HDMI and D-Sub; Realtek ALC887/897 7.1 CH HD audio codec; 4 x SATA3 ports, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen1 (2 rear, 2 front); BIOS version: 8.01 is recommended for the 14th Gen i3 processor. Upgrading the BIOS would require a 12th Gen CPU.

Check your motherboard’s specifications—there’s a PCIe4.0 x16 slot labeled PCIE2 on the PCB.

Review the CPU’s compatibility list:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H610M-HVS/index.asp#CPU

You’ll need BIOS version 8.01 at minimum to run the 14th Gen i3 processor. Upgrading the BIOS isn’t possible without a 12th Gen CPU.

If you’re considering a purchase, it’s wise to verify everything first. Buying without proper checks often leads to wasted money.

The motherboard is capable of handling graphics, but this varies based on the CPU. For the i3-14100 F model, there are no built-in graphics options. Adding a graphics card means connecting it directly to the card rather than the motherboard.

This confirms your motherboard includes integrated graphics support.
The processor model you bought is identified by the F suffix; these models are slightly more affordable but lack integrated graphics.
If this matches your purchase, bring it back for a non-F model.
The G210 card is outdated and might not be recognized by UEFI BIOS.
Return it. It offers only a small performance advantage compared to the built-in graphics.
