I chose the Ryzen 5000 and purchased it. After years of using Intel, I switched to AMD. I bought a 5800X locally when I couldn’t find it elsewhere in Germany. It was unexpected to find one. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a graphics card either.

I frequently notice more deals from Intel bundles, which is why I’m leaning toward Intel right now.

It seems Intel lagged slightly compared to that reference.

usually a single reference isn't sufficient on its own

It's strange, you're in Canada now and Linus sounds like "AMD Good."

From a performance standpoint, the Ryzen 5000 edges out the Intel 10th gen. However, in North America, many buyers have opted for Intel CPUs such as the 10700K and 10850K for better value.

I'm located about four hours away from the closest Microcenter in Atlanta, GA, which means most of my needs come from online sources. The best option really depends on what sales are available online. Sometimes AMD is the better pick, other times Intel might be more suitable. However, a 9700K and Z380 board for under $300 can be an amazing choice if you're after a powerful gaming rig.
