In Task Manager, check if the system runs at 10% or less after the PC has been idle for a short time.
Hey all question here, I have been noticing this on two different computers now for quite some time. Here is an example of the situation: I just finished doing something on my computer and I go to do some chores. Right before I leave, I check to see my overall CPU utilization in task manager. It is showing a low 1% utilization and multiple different tasks are fighting for the top position(of highest current utilization). I come back after 5-10 minutes and now my CPU utilization is at 10-15% as a result of the "system" process taking up basically all of it. This higher utilization appears to persist indefinitely until I perform any input action using my mouse or keyboard. As soon as I make an input, the utilization goes back to 1%. This "issue" is incredibly persistent, and appears to happen every time I leave my PCs completely idle. Has anyone else noticed this, or is this somehow only a me problem on two different PCs? The whole reason I care is that with this higher CPU utilization, it obviously means higher temps/power consumption(even if it is not a lot). Thanks in advance for any insight y'all have!
