I recently installed Forza Horizon 4 from Steam on my new Legion 5 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3060 mobile 130 tdp, 8x2 RAM at 3200Mhz). When I open it, the game attempts to use all available RAM, causing the laptop to become unresponsive. Any advice or solutions?

It seems the system requires around 12gb of RAM. A memory leak could take at least two hours to resolve. I’m curious about how much RAM the 3060 is actually using, especially since I’m not sure if it has its own VRAM. It looks like there’s only 6gb available, which shouldn’t be an issue, but hopefully the game doesn’t demand too much. I tried running it at lower detail settings as a suggestion, though I’m not sure if that helped. There are some posts online about it consuming RAM quickly, but none appear on the Forza forums. You might want to post there – https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/c/for...support/82

seems it does have a memory leak -
reddit link
go to lenovo site for laptop and see if you have newest drivers, lan drivers can chew up usage as well.

There is no new driver update available, what should you do?

I can't open the game because it's using too much RAM at startup, which made my computer slow down, but thank you for your suggestion.

the process begins using 12gb of ram at startup and the system chose to pause the application, causing it to halt

I don't notice any mention of RAM in the provided links. You might want to share more details there.
